Little Ellen Episode Segment

I was on this for only a few weeks, but it was so fun. I hadn’t painted a proper background or drawn so many animals for quite a while! 

In the episode Ellen is going camping for the first time, and she has a very definite, very fantastical idea about what it will be like – and that’s what my segment was.

There were four great things about working on this fantasy segment for Little Ellen: 1. I got asked to return to a production, and that’s always flattering. 2. I got to work with my friend Matthias! He was the art director on the show and my touchstone for the whole process. 3. He gave me the greenlight to make the segment my own. 4. I got to design backgrounds, paint backgrounds, and design characters – the whole thirty-second segment is all me! That’s so rare and so cool.
